Six cantilever sliding gates and 140 metres of matching security fencing across a multi-tenancy industrial estate, all automation-ready.
A developer completing a six-tenancy industrial estate needed secure vehicle gates to each unit, plus perimeter fencing. Each driveway had a different width and crossfall, the automation contractor was appointed separately, and every gate had to look identical from the street despite spans varying between 5.4 and 8.2 metres.
All six gates were detailed as cantilever sliders so no ground track crossed the driveway crossfall. We standardised the infill module and frame section across all six, then varied only the counterbalance length and the internal bracing to suit each span, which kept the street elevation consistent. Conduit paths, motor mounting plates and safety loop provisions were coordinated with the automation contractor before fabrication, so their install required no cutting or drilling on site.
The six gates read as a matched set from the street despite a 2.8 metre spread in span. The automation contractor completed all six installations in two days with no modifications to our steelwork.
Industrial gates, security fencing and commercial fabrication across Port Melbourne and the Fishermans Bend precinct.

Six driveways, six different widths, and from the street they look like a matched set. The automation crew installed all six motors in two days without cutting anything, which has never happened to me before.
