Exposed metalwork made to architectural tolerance
Structural steel gets covered up. Architectural metalwork does not, so the weld preparation, the grinding, the corner mitre and the coating all end up in the finished photograph. This work is priced and programmed differently, and we are upfront about that.

What architectural metalwork covers
Feature stairs and exposed structure
Stringers, treads, spines and exposed portal frames fabricated with dressed welds and consistent reveals, detailed with the architect before fabrication so junctions land where they were drawn.
Facade screens and louvres
Perforated, laser-cut, slatted and expanded mesh screening with support framing, fixings and setting-out to keep panel joints and perforation patterns aligned across the elevation.
Bespoke and one-off fabrication
Planters, awnings, canopies, letterbox and entry assemblies, shelving, fire surrounds and joinery frames worked up from architectural drawings, sketches or a physical sample.
Prototyping and samples
Sample panels and finish swatches produced before a full run so the client and architect are signing off on the actual finish rather than a colour chip.

I have specified perforated screening on a lot of projects and the panel joints usually give it away. They nested the pattern across the whole elevation and cut the panels out of it. That is not the standard approach and it is the reason it works.

How a job runs
The same six stages apply whether we are fabricating a single item or a staged commercial package.

Enquiry and scope
Send drawings, sketches or photographs through the quote form. We confirm what is included, flag anything that looks unresolved, and tell you what else we need.

Site measure or drawing review
For residential and retrofit work we measure on site. For new commercial builds we work from the architectural and structural documentation and raise RFIs where the detail is unclear.

Fixed quote and program
You receive a written quote with inclusions, exclusions, finish specification, lead time and installation requirements. Nothing is priced as a provisional sum unless we say so.

Shop drawings and approval
We issue shop drawings for approval. Fabrication does not start until they are signed off, which protects both of us from expensive rework.

Fabrication and finishing
Cutting, forming, welding and assembly happen in the Campbellfield workshop. Galvanising and powder coating are booked in as part of the program, not as an afterthought.
06
Installation and handover
Our crews deliver and install, make good, and hand over the documentation package. Any defect items are listed and closed out before we invoice the final claim.
Common questions
Questions we get asked before quoting
Whatever you have. For structural work, engineering drawings and architectural plans let us price accurately without a site visit. For gates, balustrades and custom work, photographs and rough dimensions are usually enough to start a conversation, and we will confirm on site before fabrication.
If you have nothing but an idea, that is still a valid starting point. A large part of what we do is turning a description into something that can actually be fabricated and installed.
